Understanding the optimization results and key metrics.

Reading Results

After optimization completes, results appear in the center-right column of the project screen once a design has been selected from the Design Matrix by the user.

Design Status Badge

At the top of results, a large status badge shows:

  • PASS (green checkmark) — all ACI 318-19 structural checks pass
  • REVIEW REQUIRED (red X) — one or more checks failed

A "PASS" design is code-compliant and safe for use. "REVIEW REQUIRED" means the design does not satisfy all code provisions — review the specific failing checks before proceeding.

Key metrics for the selected design:

Number of StemsCross-section configuration (1 = single-T, 2 = double-tee, etc.)
Total HeightmmOverall section depth including flange

Reinforcement Summary

For prestressed designs:

  • Strand count, total area, and jacking force
  • Prestress losses and final effective stress
  • Passive rebar (if any)
  • Shear reinforcement: stirrup area, spacing, number of legs

For RC designs:

  • Flexural reinforcement layers and bar sizes
  • Shear reinforcement details

PCI Baseline Comparison

When available, Cimbra compares your optimized design against a standard PCI section of similar type, showing the percentage savings in weight, cost, and carbon.
